Performance Enhancement Professionals was founded by Ian Danney in Edmonton, Alberta in 1994 before moving to its current location in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2002.
Performance Enhancement Professionals' philosophy is to improve athletic performance by applying scientifically based individualized training programs which practically implement the latest technical findings to produce maximum performance gains. PEP, a full-service training facility for professional and elite amateur athletes, has developed a program where training , recovery and therapy are seamlessly blended into one performance environment. Every athlete has a program designed specifically for them, which includes individual one-on-one training, massage therapy, chiropractic care and physical therapy, as well as a personalized nutrition and supplement program. We strive to do today what others will copy tomorrow.
Ian Danney — President/Founder
Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Ian has been running speed and strength development programs for over a decade. Involved with athletics at the highest level as an athlete and coach for over 15 years, Ian's passion for coaching was initially developed while competing as an elite athlete. His continuing quest for knowledge has taken him across the world in order to learn the latest and best techniques on performance enhancement. Utilizing the knowledge gained from his own training and education, Ian has helped numerous athletes, professional and amateur alike, improve their performance by applying scientifically based individualized training programs to ensure each athlete achieves their highest potential.
Ian's training programs and results have become internationally recognized as athletes working with him have achieved success, either transitioning from the college to professional level, recuperating from career threatening injury or extending the careers of veteran athletes. These athletes have included Olympic sprinters, winter Olympians, NHL All-Stars, NFL Pro Bowlers and Champion boxers. Coach Danney has taught and consulted elite amateurs and professionals from virtually every sport and has coached several national, international and Olympic track and field athletes as well. His grasp and analysis of movement transcends all sports. This, along with his combined coaching, competitive experience and education results in the practical application of innovative programs.
